Transcript

[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello and welcome back to the Gaming Backlog Book Club. We are here to chat about the second segment of the Phantom Liberty expansion of Cyberpunk 2077. Up through the quest Get It Together and still not starting Nocturne OP5.5N1, which it might try to continue to default you to.

And apologies. I thought after playing a bit that our original plan of finishing through Get It Together was going to be too short. So in Discord we called inaudible and added a few more quests on.

But then life got the better of us and all that waiting and Mr. Hand’s gigs being a requirement to continue the main quest turned into a lot of lost time and so we’ve reverted to our original plan behind the scenes. So if you did go ahead and finish through the quest, Birds with Broken wings, good on you.

Sorry about that. And you can hear about the next few quests next time.

As always, please join us on our Discord server. You can find it in our podcast description and episode notes and on our website, the gamingbacklogbookclub.com always having fun chatting about any of the games that we’ve played through over there. So you can participate as much as you like or not at all if you just want to listen.

Side note, it is more than likely that our next episode of Cyberpunk 2077 after this will release after October 20th next week.

When do you know what’s happening then? Alex?

[00:01:28] Speaker B: I do. And I still need to watch season one.

[00:01:31] Speaker A: Cyberpunk Edgerunner season two is coming out on the 20th.

Yes, you need to watch season one. I have a feeling just based on the time sync of playing the game, you’re likely to get to both seasons after we finish.

But don’t make the mistake of not watching it ever.

[00:01:48] Speaker B: No, I’ll be watching. I’ll watch Edgerunner.

[00:01:50] Speaker A: I’m excited about season two. I’ll probably half binge watch it when I complete each section of this until I get through.

Now reminder. As always, we do go into spoilers. So to avoid that started a previous episode. Catch up and come back once you’re ready.

And then, you know, usually at this point I ask you a question this season, Alex, and I’m just going to go out there and say I didn’t really listen to the radio very much.

[00:02:18] Speaker B: I don’t think I really listened to the radio. I think I didn’t really listen to it all. There was one point I realized the radio was on because it was some very, very loud like metal. It might have been very heavy metal or whatever.

[00:02:32] Speaker A: Music must have been ritual or something.

[00:02:34] Speaker B: Yeah. While I was like running around or trying to stealth through a mission, I was like, okay. And I kind of turned it off.

[00:02:40] Speaker A: That’s not the greatest. That’s when you knew the jazz station.

[00:02:43] Speaker B: Yeah.

But otherwise, yeah, I don’t think I’ve really listened to the radio station at all.

[00:02:49] Speaker A: I have not. I will also say, unlike most episode so far, I did not mod my appearance at all, did you?

[00:02:58] Speaker B: I just modded it for this section.

[00:03:02] Speaker A: Okay. So, all right, I, I, I was looking at my screenshots and I was thinking, wait, it’s been a while since I’ve done anything and I’ve been kind of doing everything. Every time I see a ripper duck or the closet. Um, so maybe I’ll have to do it again.

[00:03:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I just did it for this section. So I’ll post a new updated, wonderful look for my V.

But yeah, and

[00:03:24] Speaker A: listeners, we also want to see on Discord if you’ve changed anything to your V.

So we last left our ragtag group of ourself, the Merc V, the President of nusa, and in my case also, two random hooligans that walked in the door at our hideout and passing out for the night.

When we wake up, we have a chat with Rosalind, who tells us she has another ace up her sleeve to get out of Dogtown.

And that is a sleeper agent named Solomon Reed, played by Idris Elba.

[00:03:57] Speaker B: Idris Elba.

[00:03:58] Speaker A: And he’s killing it here yet again. Yes, yes, he is always stealing the scene in most things that I’ve seen him in. I can tell you that this first meeting with him is kind of interesting because you have to track down an old payphone to get in contact with him in the first place, where Johnny’s showing you how to even use it. Cause you know, the holophone is very simple and straightforward.

Funny moment there. And then you go and sit at a basketball court, which I didn’t realize entertainment and sports existed here outside of boxing, which is just lower impact fighting for all intents and purposes, everyone’s fighting in Night City anyway, so that makes sense. But like, basketball is interesting to see and I heard other people just randomly in the streets talking about their pickup games and things like that, so.

[00:04:48] Speaker B: Oh, okay.

[00:04:49] Speaker A: Nice to know if you’re in an apocalypse, you can still play some sports.

[00:04:52] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.

[00:04:56] Speaker A: But yeah, you meet up with Solomon, you show him the coin, you kind of prove yourself and then you go head back to the hideout and once you arrive back with President Myers Reid tells you he’ll give you a call once he’s Eve actor from Dogtown. So you gotta. Drum roll, please.

Wait. Multiple days again?

[00:05:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Yes. Yeah.

[00:05:21] Speaker A: Wonderful.

[00:05:22] Speaker B: Yeah.

Actually, before we get to the two days, just quickly, the first thing of that. Did you take the oath or not?

[00:05:28] Speaker A: I did not take the oath.

[00:05:30] Speaker B: Neither did I. And Johnny was very proud of me.

[00:05:33] Speaker A: Yes, Johnny was proud.

There’s just. I didn’t see much of a purpose to doing it. Like, I’m still suspicious of things.

[00:05:41] Speaker B: Mm.

[00:05:42] Speaker A: I’m not about to sign up for whatever the hell that is.

[00:05:45] Speaker B: No, I agree. So, yeah. Okay. I was just curious on what if we.

[00:05:49] Speaker A: No, that’s a good. That’s a good question. I’m. Okay, so this is a question since we both said no.

[00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah, we both said no.

[00:05:54] Speaker A: If anyone said yes, please let us know on Discord what happens then.

And maybe we’ll see if there. If there are different repercussions to it. Because there’s so many decisions in this game or conversation, decisions that sound like they might be important or affect things in some way and then. But maybe they don’t at all, you know?

[00:06:15] Speaker B: Yeah,

[00:06:18] Speaker A: it’s. It’s one of those. It’s one of those kinds of games. So very much enjoy it, but also hard to say if it’s gonna, you know, cause a difference or not.

Yes, good question. So anyway, yeah, you’re able to basically just wait around. You can do whatever you want with the time.

I used that time to fit in some side gigs for Mr. Hands who had called, and, you know, he was nice enough to arrange a car. Well, it’s really just this, like, tiny shipment van truck.

I’m assuming you had the same one, I think, and a pass to leave Dogtown and come back freely as you wish.

No.

[00:07:03] Speaker B: Oh, I don’t. Oh, I don’t think I got there.

[00:07:07] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Well, if you don’t remember the conversation, then maybe not. But if you. If it sounds familiar, though.

So you’ve. Okay, you’ve done some gigs.

[00:07:17] Speaker B: Goddess. It’s done three gigs for him in total.

[00:07:20] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, you should have gotten it at the beginning instead of later.

[00:07:25] Speaker B: Was it to find a car? Okay?

[00:07:27] Speaker A: No, it wasn’t. Define a car. He just gives you a car, and it’s just. It’s. It’s immediately available in your car list when you, like, sign.

[00:07:35] Speaker B: Okay. That’s why I have barely been driving in Dogtown. I’ve literally just kind of put everywhere.

[00:07:39] Speaker A: He basically, when he called me, he said, hey, I got you a Pass. You can leave whenever you want. And then also said, I got you a car because our streets are really small and narrow.

[00:07:50] Speaker B: Okay.

Okay.

[00:07:52] Speaker A: And so there’s just this like little tiny truck thing that you can use. Yeah. So you have it. It’s just. I don’t remember what it’s called.

[00:07:58] Speaker B: I just haven’t. I just haven’t used it.

[00:08:00] Speaker A: Yeah, it’s okay.

[00:08:01] Speaker B: I’ve just been dashing air. Dashing everywhere.

[00:08:04] Speaker A: That’s smart.

[00:08:05] Speaker B: Yeah.

[00:08:06] Speaker A: It’s a very kind of topsy turvy. It will roll over on you. Almost did on me. When you take a tight corner.

[00:08:13] Speaker B: Nice. Okay.

[00:08:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Good stuff.

But I. Yeah, I did a couple. I did. Let’s see. I did a gig.

I did.

Did you do this gig where you visit this surgeon and a Catholic priest?

[00:08:32] Speaker B: He. Yes.

[00:08:33] Speaker A: His name is Anthony Anderson.

[00:08:35] Speaker B: Yes. Anthony Anderson. Yes.

[00:08:37] Speaker A: Named him after the actor or what is an interpretation of.

[00:08:41] Speaker B: There wasn’t really much resemblance to the.

[00:08:43] Speaker A: No, no. I mean I don’t think it was supposed to be him, but just the name itself is like very specific.

Of all the double A names you could have.

[00:08:51] Speaker B: I know the second he said Anthony Anderson, I was like, o.

I was

[00:08:55] Speaker A: like, oh, that’s a cool cameo. And then. No, not at all.

[00:08:58] Speaker B: Guy from Transformers.

[00:09:00] Speaker A: Yeah.

But so yes, right, You. You visit this surgeon. He has some very questionable methods to achieve somewhat noble results.

And the Catholic priest is just there to help the poor patients. But eh, whatever I did that, I kind of wandered around. I decided eventually I’m running out of time in real life to get this done in time, so I’m just gonna skip time. So I did that.

Yeah.

[00:09:28] Speaker B: So the Anthony Anderson one, I went back to him as the Ripper Doc and I’m pretty sure it’s all pro bono.

You don’t pay.

[00:09:36] Speaker A: Yeah, I think he mentioned something like that.

[00:09:40] Speaker B: I upgraded a ton, like expensive from like tier 5 to tier 5 plus or tier 5 plus to tier 5 plus plus.

And I didn’t get charged any money.

[00:09:51] Speaker A: Okay, that is good to know. And you’re also playing into his sketchy scheme there of like letting people die so he can harvest the parts.

But that’s not to say I’m not going to do it too, now that I know that it’s a possibility. I want free up to Freeze Free Cyberware.

Free is free in Night City, Alex. What does that say about you?

That you like free things? Yes. Especially if they help you kill other barghest enemies while you’re playing cyberpunk. Correct.

I think it’s the only right answer.

Did you in that mission either let. I don’t remember her name.

Let the scav.

I guess not. Because you were able to go visit him again. I don’t know if she can kill him, but you can fight her or you can let her go.

[00:10:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I ended up fighting her. I ended up no, I don’t know, killing her, knocking her out. But I tried to steer the conversation as not to that.

And then it just got to that point of she.

[00:10:55] Speaker A: Yeah, I. I was just. I think I. It felt very tense, like it was about to happen, and I was able to just last second, kind of talk her down. Well, talk her down by making him tell her where. Where the body was.

[00:11:08] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Okay. I might have chosen. I chose something different of just maybe something saying of, look, your brother’s gone.

Get over it. I don’t know. Not get over it, but like, there’s nothing we can do. I don’t know.

Yeah, I didn’t want to. I was trying to de. Escalate it, but it just then got to that point of she wasn’t happy and she just attacked.

[00:11:32] Speaker A: Makes sense.

[00:11:33] Speaker B: Yeah.

[00:11:34] Speaker A: All right, well, handy tip there. I appreciate that.

[00:11:36] Speaker B: Yeah.

[00:11:38] Speaker A: Once Reid finally calls you, which I guess despite the President now being safe, we need to go find Somi.

He brings up another sleeper agent who we need to find to help us out.

And her name is Alex.

Imagine that.

And you know, as has become a trend with Solomon here, he doesn’t really share everything he should be before throwing us into the.

Into the pit.

He and Alex are not exactly friendly anymore, are they?

[00:12:11] Speaker B: Not at all, no.

[00:12:13] Speaker A: So she, you know, immediately closes the bar.

She’s this weird shape shifter of some sort, has some high end.

[00:12:22] Speaker B: Yeah, it’s like a camo armor she has that can shapeshift her appearance.

[00:12:25] Speaker A: It’s like mystique. But, you know, that’s not an actual mutation. It’s just some technology.

It’s kind of cool. I like. I wish we could unlock that for ourselves. Although I guess there’s not really much application in combat. It’s more of a. It makes more sense for what she’s using it for.

You know, Long story short, you have to go and convince her to help you out or give her a reason to.

And she finally agrees. I don’t know which route you took. I don’t actually remember which one I did. I think I just said like, hey, we can get you out of here.

And she asked for, you know, a full on secret agent vacation in the Riviera.

[00:13:05] Speaker B: Yes, that was. Yeah, she said that to me. Yeah, she wanted basically that, and then kind of that she hinted of she wanted to spend more time with Reid.

[00:13:16] Speaker A: I don’t know that I heard that. Saucy.

All right, well, I guess we’ll find out what happens later, but, you know, a vacation in the Riviera sounds pretty nice.

[00:13:27] Speaker B: Yes.

[00:13:27] Speaker A: She ends up pointing out this netrunner who has been a thorn in the FIA’s side for a bit, named Slider.

And, yeah, he is a voodoo boy, but kind of a different segment of the Voodoo Boys from the ones we met earlier in Pacifica.

And, yeah, they’re not exactly on good terms either. But how did you infiltrate Slider’s hideout?

[00:14:01] Speaker B: I just kind of made my way through.

[00:14:03] Speaker A: All right. Did you kill people?

[00:14:04] Speaker B: Tried to be.

I did both.

[00:14:07] Speaker A: Okay.

[00:14:08] Speaker B: So I did the cameras and got through, marked everybody quick, tagged people off the camera that I could, took out some, and then there was a lot there. I was trying to be sneaky of some, and then I got slightly caught, and so I was just getting some waves of people, and then that just.

[00:14:25] Speaker A: Yeah, sure, sure. I. I basically, Solomon had pointed. Pointed out that there were vents there.

So I kind of walked around outside to try to find him, and then I ended up, like, going in this big circle and ended up basically right next to the main door and realizing there was this small alleyway, kind of entrance into another door with the vents.

So I wandered through there. I almost.

In fact, I’m pretty sure I was, like, a couple pixels off from tripping this mine or this security alert thing. Wire that would have dropped me through from the vent down to the floor below and gotten attacked. And just by pure chance, I stopped for a second and my V said something like, oh, that was a close one. And I looked down it, and it gave me a disarm prompt. So I was like, oh, crap. And it worked.

Kept wandering through the vent, popped out. I used some. I was in the. The upper level. I just used some throwing knives up there. And then when I walk downstairs, I just turn on my optical camo. Like, I. You know, I use my. I think I have one of the. The optics eye cyberware that lets me see through walls to people that are within 20 meters or something like that.

So I just. I found that there were these two guys, and I was looking at the map, and it looked like this pathway that goes and off in the different direction for the big main room.

And so I tagged the two guys turn on optical camo, and they were both sitting, like, on either side of a pillar, talking to each other in front of this. Guarding this hallway. And so I just turned on optical camo and walked in between them, and they didn’t even blink, you know, which is nice. So I’m really enjoying my optical camo these days.

[00:16:10] Speaker B: Oh, that’s cool.

I realized, actually, at the start of this, I was thinking of a different start of a mission. This one, I did talk to the guards.

[00:16:18] Speaker A: You talked to them?

[00:16:19] Speaker B: And, yes, I talked to the guards that were standing there. Yeah, I forgot. I was thinking of a gig.

[00:16:25] Speaker A: Oh, I know which one you’re talking about.

[00:16:26] Speaker B: Very similar. But I was talking to the guards, and they were like, oh, walk away. And we’re starting to walk away. And one of my prompts to walk away was saying, like, oh, we’ll be back, or whatever. We’ll just, like, F you. So I said, F you. And then they started doing okay.

[00:16:43] Speaker A: That’s all it takes to set them off, huh?

[00:16:44] Speaker B: And so I.

Yep. So I took them out. And then it kind of just escalated from there.

[00:16:51] Speaker A: Yeah, well, that escalated quickly.

[00:16:53] Speaker B: So that was actually how I got it.

[00:16:54] Speaker A: Brick through a trident, very quickly.

[00:16:57] Speaker B: Yeah.

[00:17:00] Speaker A: All right. Interesting. Yeah. That’s one approach, I suppose, once you actually get past there.

Slider tries to kind of assert some willpower, but he knows that he’s cooked already and is just going to have to do what we ask anyway. But he. He tries to be a bit of a jackass about it.

And then he says, you know, if I want to help you, I need a jack into V. And you make contact with Somi.

You know, Slider tells you that after the first thing that she was dealing with a black wall whenever she contacted you, which is a big no no in the netrunning community.

And then, you know, you continue talking to her, and Slider gets fried in the process.

[00:17:48] Speaker B: Yeah, he does. I don’t know if there’s a way for him not to get fried.

[00:17:52] Speaker A: I don’t know either. I didn’t. Looking back at some of the options I remember, I don’t think it would have been possible, but who knows?

[00:17:59] Speaker B: There. There’s one option of, I think, like, if your tech ops is high enough. And so, I don’t know, like, if

[00:18:03] Speaker A: that one is high enough.

[00:18:05] Speaker B: I think you have to be, like, 15. Like, maybe he survives, but I didn’t have that.

[00:18:10] Speaker A: So I guess I’m surprised that you don’t have a higher tech ops, considering how much quick hacking you do.

[00:18:17] Speaker B: I’m working on it.

[00:18:18] Speaker A: All right, well, report back once you find out More?

[00:18:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I did. Cool reflexes. And now I’m working on tech ops.

[00:18:25] Speaker A: Oh, alrighty then.

But, yeah, you get in touch with Somi for a little bit. Johnny’s kind of perplexed by the whole thing. And she tells you that she’s being held hostage, essentially by.

What’s the guy’s name?

It’s a four letter name. I forget his name. The main dude in charge of Dogtown.

[00:18:49] Speaker B: Hanson.

[00:18:49] Speaker A: Hanson, that’s the one. I was gonna say Hank.

But yes.

She’s cooped up in his hotel and as long as she does what they say, or whatever the hell that means, she’s safe. So we gotta go bust her out.

[00:19:04] Speaker B: Yep.

This is like Heist Part 2.

[00:19:07] Speaker A: It’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s, you know, a large skyscraper hotel and we have go in and get something out of it and bring it back with us.

I wonder if there’s just a reverse relic that we can pop in our heads that fixes the brain. Unlikely. Fixes the brain to get out of Slider’s hideout. Obviously all of the explosions and electrical issues in the hideout due to that situation alerted all the guards in there to get out. I literally just.

I used a knife or I.

Yeah, I did some takedown of one guard that was near the door from that hallway. Turned on optical camo and then just walked out. Walked right by everyone out of the front door.

[00:19:52] Speaker B: Oh, I had like done the whole.

[00:19:54] Speaker A: They were. Okay, so there was no one left taking out the servers to get at you then?

[00:19:58] Speaker B: No, there was a couple. There was a couple people when I was walking out. Like they come back in, but there wasn’t too many.

[00:20:03] Speaker A: Okay.

[00:20:03] Speaker B: All right.

[00:20:04] Speaker A: Yeah, solid.

[00:20:05] Speaker B: And I kind of stealthed majority of those.

[00:20:07] Speaker A: Sure.

And then so you’re outside, you have a kind of a post mortem on the op with Solomon there. It’s just right outside the gate. The door.

And fill him in on the fact that Somi’s been taken. And you get into this Black Emerald Hotel party and he says he’ll chat with Alex and try to find her sources.

And our option is to talk to Mr. Hance.

And he can only get us details and access to it if we help him out. Tit for tat. Right.

Which of the various gigs did you do? Because you have to complete three gigs. I had finished one. I think you said you’d finished two before this even started.

[00:20:50] Speaker B: I had finished two and I’m now trying to think of like, what.

[00:20:53] Speaker A: So you mentioned that this kind of.

This Slider quest was similar to another one. So I’m assuming you did the Voodoo boys second quest where you had to take out a guy named Wilco.

[00:21:05] Speaker B: Yes.

[00:21:05] Speaker A: Yeah.

[00:21:05] Speaker B: So Milko. Yeah, Milko, was that his name?

[00:21:07] Speaker A: Wilco? Milko who you know, there’s like he has a little entrance to his hideout but once you get to like the main room, there’s a room full of Terminator robots.

[00:21:19] Speaker B: Yes. Okay. Yeah, yep, I did that.

[00:21:21] Speaker A: And they were pretty damn tough to take out for me.

Required many attempts and ditching my usual melee approach for a full on SMG setup.

[00:21:32] Speaker B: Yeah, so yes, for me actually one, just before this, I had found somewhere some iconic revolver which does a ton of damage.

[00:21:42] Speaker A: Oh, you know what, you might have gotten it from the next quest that I did and you might have done it in reverse order.

[00:21:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I don’t know. I can’t remember the name but it’s really cool. But I was using that. But also just before this I had actually used one of my skill points into for throwing knives that they do damage to drones, tech robots and all that stuff.

[00:22:04] Speaker A: I think I’ve heard, I’ve seen that one on there.

[00:22:06] Speaker B: So it helped. So it was doing. When I hit it, it did poison damage.

[00:22:11] Speaker A: Oh, that’s cool. I should probably, I’ve seen that and I’m just like, is poison damage really all that useful? And you’re confirming to me that it is. So I guess I’m gonna put my next skill point into that.

[00:22:24] Speaker B: Yeah. But I will say the revolver, this revolver that I picked up, this iconic one was like a 1 to 2 shot against some of these robots.

[00:22:31] Speaker A: Nice.

[00:22:31] Speaker B: Like it was.

[00:22:32] Speaker A: So okay, so I think we might, we might overlap. We just did it in reverse order. So okay, so okay, with this Wilco guy, right, you just get in there, you fight the Terminator room and then you get into Wilco’s room where he’s netrunning but there’s a Netwatch agent jacked into him and he tries to convince you to leave Wilco alone.

But I don’t know about you, but for me, after being bugged by the last Netwatch agent that we dealt with related to the voodoo boys, I said hell no. And I killed him and then killed Wilco and peaced out.

[00:23:08] Speaker B: Yep, same. I said no. I said this is like for my client, this is what I’m gonna do.

Exactly.

[00:23:13] Speaker A: We need to get into this thing. I got bigger fish to fry.

I don’t care about this Wilco guy and I don’t care about you, Netwatch. See you later.

So from there What? The next one I did, which may have been the one just because of the revolver, is what’s cluing me in here, was going to the police station that’s been taken over and saving two cops that were stuck inside. Did you do that one?

[00:23:38] Speaker B: Maybe that was the one I did.

[00:23:40] Speaker A: So basically, you have to go. You meet in a car outside of it with the girlfriend of or wife of one of the two cops, who are these two bumbling idiots that don’t know what the hell they’re doing with their lives.

And they were trying to do side gigs for this guy named Dodger.

[00:24:00] Speaker B: Okay.

[00:24:01] Speaker A: And you go in, you infiltrate a police station. So you have another iconic revolver. So that means I’m going to need to find out that one.

[00:24:10] Speaker B: Yeah, I’m trying to think of who I.

[00:24:13] Speaker A: So. So with this. I guess with this quest, I. I basically used my new strategy of optical camo to stealth through. Kind of just waltzed on in by a bunch of people, went around a corner, didn’t take anyone out, and then got downstairs to where they were being held.

These two.

These two guys.

And then you kind of has to escort them. One of them’s, like, throwing cans around or, like, juggling a can like an idiot, and then drops it and gets alert, hurting various guards.

But you finally get to this garage where their squad car is, and then Dodger, this, you know, gang leader or whatever associated with Hanson shows up. And I was able to talk them out of being killed by making them admit what happened, because the guy they were getting the goods from swallowed 7 ounces of coke and then died.

And then they. They gutted him to try to get it back, but it was already absorbed into his bloodstream. So, yeah, he’s a goner. Coke is a goner.

But because it was so funny to him, Dodger let him go.

And then, yeah, at this point, I had hit my three Mr. Hands quests. So I. I called him. I was still in the garage. The two cops were gone. Free, home safe. And then I just turned around and said, these guys are bad news. This Dodger and his two cronies. And I just used Sandevistan, ran behind them, sliced him and his two guards to shreds before they even realized what hit them.

And, yeah, I’m certainly glad that I did, because I was able to pick up his sweet, iconic revolver, which sounds like it’s different from yours because none of this is ringing bells for you.

[00:25:52] Speaker B: No, it’s definitely not that revolver. I know the three I did. Now, one of the three we talked about already was the one for Dr. Anderson.

[00:25:59] Speaker A: Okay.

[00:26:00] Speaker B: Was to save him. So that was one. And then I did the netrunner one, and then I did a different one in a skyscraper.

[00:26:09] Speaker A: Okay, that sounds fun.

All right, well, after all of this, you finally get to meet Mr. Hands in person at the Heavy Hearts Club in the upper floors. That was fun. And he sure is an eccentric guy.

[00:26:28] Speaker B: Jay is. Yeah.

[00:26:30] Speaker A: And, you know, but after chatting with him, you finally set a plan with Solomon and Alex after meeting up back at their hideout, which is under the Moth bar in the basement. And.

Yeah. So we basically get to go into this party.

You find out that, you know, Songbird and Reed had to deal with a lot of crap because.

Because of orders. Following orders is not always a good thing.

And essentially, yeah, we’re trying to go bust her out anyway because Solomon just doesn’t care anymore. They’re still partners.

He. He thinks she was just following orders. So I guess we’ll see what happens.

[00:27:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess. Yeah.

[00:27:18] Speaker A: Oh, and I guess the last thing is that Alex gives you her pistol. Iconic power pistol. I think it was a power pistol called Her Majesty, which I’ve heard about on Reddit as some of people’s favorite guns. So I’m excited to try it out.

[00:27:35] Speaker B: Okay, interesting.

[00:27:38] Speaker A: I see a lot of people, like, kind of obviously Phantom Liberty is pretty far into the game, but try to go for that as quickly as possible because they like that pistol so much. So, hey, time to try it anyway. This week coming up is about making some more progress in Phantom Liberty side quests, but also advancing the story a bit more, too. So stop. After completing a few more of those Mr. Hands gigs or looting three airdrops, and then, most importantly, infiltrate the hotel and then finish quests up through Birds with Broken Wings, and if you want, also knock out the side quests, run this town. But we’ll see what time allows.

[00:28:17] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely. Yeah. We’re excited to get started on, as I call it, heist part two.

[00:28:24] Speaker A: Yeah, heist part two. Really? That is the official 2.0.

[00:28:28] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. I don’t know. This is going to be fun. It’ll be fun to, I don’t know, like, kind of swimming in through the tunnels to get in and then see how it goes.

[00:28:37] Speaker A: Very much looking forward to it.

[00:28:38] Speaker B: I’m still.

I’m excited for this part. I’m still a little iffy on Songbird.

[00:28:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, she went mia.

It’s not looking good for her. I’m suspicious.

[00:28:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I am too. But we’ll see where this goes. And hopefully you guys are excited to join us and play this part as well. If you guys haven’t already, we know

[00:28:58] Speaker A: some of you may.

[00:29:01] Speaker B: If not, we will then talk about it next time. So yeah. But again, thanks for listening and have a good one.
