Season 5: Undertale

Season 5 of The Gaming Backlog “Book Club” podcast is about Undertale, dropping a kid through a hole in a mountain to The Underground, a land full of monsters that humans sealed away long ago. This unusual RPG where you famously don’t need to kill anyone but can rather befriend them (or still kill them if you want), with hints of quirkiness reminiscent of Earthbound from yesteryear, is just the right medicine to ramp us back up to longer games.

Undertale has been on the backlog of both hosts for many years now, and there is no time like the Switch 2 release of its cousin Deltarune Chapters 1-4 to finally bring Undertale off the backlog 10 years later.
